Plenty Coups girls beat Harlowton to take control in 6C

BILLINGS — The Plenty Coups Warriors raced out to a 34-17 halftime lead on their way to an easy win over Harlowton-Ryegate Friday in a battle of previously unbeatens atop District 6C, 63-36.

Both teams were 7-0 in the 6C entering the game. Harlowton closed to within 12 early in the 3rd quarter, but Plenty Coups senior Sylvie Stewart caught fire with four straight field goals late in the quarter to push the lead to 45-24 heading into the 4th.

The win pushes the Warriors to 9-1 overall, 8-0 in the 6C, while Harlowton falls to 9-2, 7-1. Friday night was the only regular season game between the two this season.
