BUTTE -- Down two points with five sends left, Harrison-Willow Creek's Jackson Nye hit a game-winning 3-pointer to help send the Wildcats to the District 12C boys basketball championship game as they defeated Philipsburg 35-33 on Friday night at the Maroon Activities Center.

Harrison-Willow Creek will now face one of the hottest teams in all of Class C in Twin Bridges. The undefeated Falcons breezed past Sheridan by a 51-point margin as they won their semifinal matchup 75-24. Twin Bridges and HWC will square off Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Maroon Activities Center.

On the girls side, Philipsburg punched its ticket to the championship as it defeated Drummond 44-38. The Prospectors will also face Twin Bridges for the title. The Falcons narrowly edged out Ennis in the semfinals as the Falcons were victorious 45-42.

The girls championship is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday.
