Billings Skyview girls edge Bozeman, Falcon boys steal road win

BILLINGS -- Thursday was a good night for the Billings Skyview basketball teams, who swept home and away games against Bozeman.

M.G. Spotted Bear led Skyview's girls with 15 points at home as the Falcons earned a 40-36 over the Hawks. Brooke Berry added 14 as the Falcons improved to 2-3 in the Eastern AA and 4-6 on the season. Bozeman's girls fall to 2-3 and 3-7 overall.

Skyview's boys jumped out to a 16-8 lead in Bozeman and held off the Hawks 59-52.

Julius Mims was on fire for Skyview, shooting 8 of 9 from the field to lead everybody with 23 points and 10 rebounds. No other Falcon hit double figures.

Carter Ash was Bozeman's high scorer with 17 points, followed by Brett Clark with 10.

Skyview climbs into a share for third in the conference with Bozeman. The teams now have identical records at 3-2 in conference and 6-4 overall.
