BILLINGS — The Billings Central girls basketball team added another marquee win to its impressive early season resumé Saturday, beating Class AA title-contender Billings West 52-44 in the Nelles Center. Central is now 6-0 with wins over two Class AA teams and both of last season's Class A title-game participants (Havre and Hardin).

Sophomore point guard Mya Hansen broke a fourth-quarter deadlock Saturday with eight straight points to give Central a 46-41 lead with less than 2:00 to play. The Rams would never give up the lead.

The game was close throughout. West led 17-15 after the first quarter, and the teams were tied after both the second and third quarters before Central pulled away in the fourth.

Both teams return to action on Tuesday. Central travels to Miles City while West hosts Skyview.
