Anaconda girls roll past Florence, stay unbeaten

ANACONDA — Megan Reich paced Anaconda with 13 points and Sami Johnson and Alyssa Peterson each scored 9 as the Copperheads led from beginning to end in a 64-37 District 6B girls basketball win over Florence on Tuesday evening at Memorial Gym to move to 3-0.

The rout over the Falcons comes three days after Anaconda hosted and toppled defending Class B co-champion Missoula Loyola on Saturday.

The Copperheads led 18-9 after one quarter and 33-16 by halftime. Mia Sullivan-Sanders added 8 points for Anaconda and Makena Patrick had 7. In all, 10 Copperheads contributed points.

Kasidy Yeoman paced Florence with 14 points.

The Copperheads host Philipsburg on Jan. 19.
