CHURCHILL — The Manhattan Christian Eagles boys basketball team came into Wednesday night's matchup with an 11-0 record. After their game with Sheridan was canceled on Tuesday night, the Eagles were looking to play someone, and one-loss Harrison Willow-Creek answered the call.
The Wildcats gave Manhattan Christian everything they had early in the game, jumping out to a 17-8 lead behind strong play of senior Luke Cima. However, Manhattan Christian would go on a tear after that, going a 15-1 run to take a 23-18 lead in the middle of the second quarter. Manhattan Christian ended the first half up 34-22 and that would be more than enough points to hold on.
The Eagles would go on to win 79-48 and are now 12-0 on the season.
Eagles sophomore Seth Amunrud had a game-high 31 points with seven rebounds. Cima had a team-high 26 points for the Wildcats.
