MANHATTAN -- The Manhattan Tigers picked up two big district wins as the boys and girls basketball teams defeated Three Forks at home on Friday night.

The Tigers boys team pulled off a huge 65-58 upset against a Wolves (12-3) team that up until that night was 8-0 in conference play. The Tigers, who are in second behind Three Forks in the District 5B standings, controlled the entire game and now move to 6-2 in the district and 8-7 overall.

The girls game was much of the same story as the Tigers were in the driver's seat since the opening tip, winning 46-35. The win marked the first conference victory for Manhattan (5-10, 1-7 District 5B), while Three Forks drops to 8-7 overall, 5-4 District 5B.
