Great Falls High boys beat Billings Skyview, take control of Eastern AA No. 2 seed

BILLINGS — The Great Falls High Bison took control early and held on for a key road win Friday, 55-50 over Billings Skyview, breaking a tie with the Falcons for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern AA boys basketball race.

Great Falls jumped out to a 17-9 lead after the first quarter and held the eight-point advantage at halftime. Skyview trimmed it to just 37-35 heading into the fourth, but the BIson were able to hold off the home team.

Drew Wyman had a big game, scoring 25 points, most against Skyview star senior Julius Mims. Levi Torgerson added 18. Mims and Cameron Ketchum led the Falcons with 10 points each.

The win moves Great Falls High to 6-2 in the Eastern AA, two games behind 8-0 Billings West. Skyview drops to 5-3.

Elsewhere, Billings Skyview's girls got their biggest win of the season on the road, 59-58 over Great Falls High. And Billings Senior earned a sweep over Great Falls CMR -- 51-47 in overtime on the girls court, and 83-68 on the boys court.
