Butte Central boys rout Stevensville, head to Western A

BUTTE — There would be no upset in Butte on Monday.

The Butte Central boys, the No. 3 Southwest A seed, stormed past No. 6 Stevensville 72-23 in a Western A boys basketball play-in game on Monday evening at the Maroon Activities Center.

Bryan Holland and Dougie Peoples led Central with 13 points each as the Maroons charged to a 33-14 halftime lead.

The Yellowjackets end their season at 0-15 overall and 0-11 in the Southwest A.

The Maroons now gear up for a Western A game against Ronan at 4 p.m. at the Butte Civic Center.
