The Billings Skyview boys basketball team looks like a contender in the Eastern AA once again. The Falcons beat crosstown rival Billings West, 67-46, on Friday night on the road.

Skyview shook off a five-point loss to Bozeman High last weekend and led from start to finish against the Golden Bears. Skyview jumped ahead 16-14 after the first quarter, but it hit another gear in the second quarter, outscoring West 15-7 to take a 31-21 advantage into the locker room.

The Falcons were able to turn that 10-point halftime lead into an 18-point lead, 50-32, entering the final period after Camron Ketchum caught fire in the third quarter.

The defending Class AA co-champion Falcons improve to 2-1 on the season and are off until Tuesday against Billings Senior. West falls to 1-2 and will be looking up at Skyview in the Eastern AA standings. The Bears will play Senior on Thursday.
