MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — The Billings Christian Warriors won't repeat as National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) national champions in 2020 after falling 73-67 in double overtime to Families of Faith Christian in Friday's Division 4C semifinals.
After winning the 4C national championship in 2019, the Warriors returned to the NCSAA event as Montana state champions this time. They won their opening-round game Thursday 91-49 over Shenandoah Valley Christian out of Virginia. But the Warriors' luck ran out against Families of Faith, suffering their first loss of the season.
Billings Christian will play for third place Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against Veritas Christian out of New Jersey.
