GREAT FALLS — University of Providence men’s basketball coach Steve Keller announced the signing of Kalispell Flathead senior Stephen Bridges on Monday.

A 6-foot-2 guard, Bridges averaged 6.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.9 assists for the Braves this season. He posted a season-high 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting in a 51-48 win over Missoula Big Sky on Jan. 10.

Flathead finished the 2018-19 regular-season campaign with a 5-13 overall record before falling to Helena Capital and Helena High in the Western AA divisional tournament.

“Stephen has good size for a guard and a good shooting touch,” said Keller. “We look forward to working with him and watching him develop in our program over the next few years.”

Bridges plans to pursue a degree in business.
