BILLINGS – Rocky Mountain College head women’s basketball coach Wes Keller announced Monday that Izzy Spruit will join the women’s basketball program for the fall of 2019.

Spruit is a five-foot-nine-inch shooting guard from Pima Community College in Tuscon, Ariz. During her two years at Pima, Spruit produced 580 points and 105 assists while collecting more than 75 steals. During her sophomore season, she recorded 101 three pointers while averaging just over 11 points per game. Spruit holds the Pima Community College school record for three pointers made in a game after draining nine against Arizona Western.

Spruit was named Third Team All-ACCAC and Second Team All-Region I after her sophomore season.

“We are very excited to welcome Izzy to the Battlin’ Bear family. She is an elite shooter with outstanding range,” said Keller. “Izzy is an impact kid, with high basketball IQ, who comes to us from an outstanding junior college program. She takes care of business on and off the court and we are excited to watch her excel over the next two years.”

Spruit graduated from Mesquite High School in Gilbert, Ariz., where she earned a 3.5 GPA and was named a Golden Scholar.
