Rocky Mountain College’s Jared Samuelson named to Bevo Francis Award watch list

BILLINGS – Rocky Mountain College forward Jared Samuelson has been nominated as one of 100 potential winner of the 2019 Bevo Francis Award.

The Bevo Francis award is presented to the student-athlete who has the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Statistics, individual achievements, awards, and personal character are taken into account. Only a single player receives the award annually.

Samuelson was selected as the 2018-2019 Preseason Men’s Basketball Player of the Year for the Frontier Conference. The junior from Billings, Mont., is ranked No. 2 in total scoring for the NAIA Division 1 with 380 points, which currently leads the Frontier Conference. He averages 21.11 points and 7.61 rebounds per game.

The Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List will be narrowed down to 50 student-athletes on Feb. 15, 2019.
