Rocky Mountain College cross country teams reach National Championships

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Both Rocky Mountain College cross country teams will continue the 2018 season at the 2018 NAIA Cross Country National Championships next week.

The women’s cross country team sits just outside of the national rankings with 100 votes awarded in the NAIA Women’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 poll. They will compete in the 39th Annual NAIA Women’s Cross Country Championship on Nov. 16 at 9:30 MST. For the first time in NAIA history, the tournament will be held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Ranked No. 19 in the nation, the men’s cross country team finished 2nd overall at the Frontier Conference Tournament with the most top ten finishes among runners. They will compete in the 63rd Annual NAIA Men’s Cross Country Championship on Nov. 1 at 11:30 CST in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In addition, seven Rocky cross country runners were named to the 2018 All-Conference teams.

Jackson Duffey, Elijah Boyd, Isaac Petsch, and Eddie Loughran were all named to the men’s team. Duffey was selected as Rocky Mountain College’s Champion of Character for men’s cross country.

Sidney Little Light, Corinne Hamilton, and Courtney Hallock were named to the Frontier women’s team. Carina Bracy is Rocky’s Champion of Character female cross country winner.
