Rocky Mountain College sweeps Providence, finishes Frontier season unbeaten

GREAT FALLS – The No. 8 Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears (27-3, 12-0 FC) ended the 2018 regular season Saturday by sweeping the only other ranked team in the Frontier Conference, the No. 20 Providence Argos.

Rocky ended the season with 17 sweeps and remained unbeaten among conference opponents. Rocky’s scoring efforts were fairly evenly distributed. Oliva L’Ami recorded 10 kills while Daniella Russell chipped in nine. Both Hailey Copinga and Miranda Gallagher contributed eight kills apiece.

Natalie Hilderman had 34 assists.

Defensively, Copinga pulled in 18 digs with 3 blocks. Ruby Kallenbach had 19 digs on the night as well.

The Battlin’ Bears will be the No. 1 seed in next week’s Frontier Conference Tournament in Butte.
