LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears men’s soccer team earned it’s fourth win in a row Sunday as they downed the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers 2-0.

No. 14 ranked Rocky (8-2, 4-1 CCC) kept the momentum from their 11-0 win over Walla Walla on Friday rolling into Sunday’s match. The Mountaineers (5-3-2, 3-2-1 CCC) could not capitalize off of any opportunities despite fairly even offensive efforts. The Battlin’ Bears only held a 13-11 shot advantage.

Pablo Ferreira scored the first goal of the match in the 11th minute with an assist from Nolan Sherwood. Marco Kummerle would score the second and final goal of the day in the 51st minute off of Sam Davidson.

Rocky’s goalkeeper, Kristofer Wennin, brought in three saves with no goals allowed. Eastern Oregon’s Aidan Wright allowed two goals and secured four saves.

Rocky will return back to Montana for a home game against rival Carroll College. That match will take place on Friday, Oct. 5 at 5:00 p.m. on Herb Klindt Field.
