Rocky Mountain College soccer men hang 11 on Walla Walla

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – The No. 10 ranked Rocky Mountain College men’s soccer team cruised to victory over Walla Walla with 11 goals.

The Battlin’ Bears’ offense never let the foot off the gas as they scored eight goals in the first half alone.

Mason Luse opened the game with two goals. Nolan Sherwood scored two goals in the 31st minute and powered a third into the top of net two minutes later.

Pablo Ferreira scored two goals off assists from Jonah Gronmayer shortly afterwards and Lachlan Gilchrist slotted a goal into the right side just before the first period ended.

Ferreira, Adrian Lopez, and Bilechi Sumali would score three goals before the game would end.

Rocky Mountain College had a 45-2 shot advantage over Walla Walla.

The Battlin’ Bears will look to keep the momentum going as they travel to La Grande, Ore. to face off against Eastern Oregon on Sunday. That action will kick off at 2:30 p.m MT.
