Three Rocky Mountain College athletes take weekly honors

BILLINGS – Three Rocky Mountain College student-athletes earned conference player of the week honors.

Lauryn Gamache earned the Red Lion women’s soccer offensive player of the week honor for the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The junior forward from St. Louis was a driving force for the Battlin’ Bears’ offense. Over the past week, she carved her way to six goals and an assist in three games. This included a three-goal performance against Mid-America Christian.

Nolan Sherwood earned the Red Lion men’s soccer offensive player of the week honor for the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The junior forward from Las Vegas helped vault the Battlin’ Bears to two victories on the week. He scored twice in the team’s win against Mid-America Christian and was the first to find the back of the net against Jamestown.

Isaac Petsch earned the runner of the week honor for the Frontier Conference. The senior runner from Billings finished in first at the Carroll College Early Bird Open. His time of 19:28 in the 6 kilometer race was the best out of 41 runners.
