Rocky Mountain College men blank Marymount, 8-0

Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. – August 28, 2018 – The Rocky Mountain College men’s soccer team scored 8 goals in a dominating win over Marymount.

Rocky aggressively attacked the net all night, never letting Marymount get close.

In the 23rd minute, Nolan Sherwood opened the game with the first score of the night off an assist from Alexander Taylor. 10 minutes later, Sky Swenson added another score with an assist by Marco Kummerle.

Sam Davidson ended the period with a goal of his own in the 43rd minute.

Coming out of the break, the Battlin’ Bears did not let up on the attack. Kummerle found the back of the net two minutes into the half. 20 minutes later, Milo Downey scored with an assist from Mason Luse.

In 72nd minute, Davidson scored his second goal of the game with an assist from Finn Lane. He would soon find the net again as he scored his third goal on his own in the 89th minute.

Adrian Lopez ended the night with a goal in the 90th minute off an assist by Davidson.

Goalkeeper Kristofer Wennin recorded two saves.

The Battlin’ Bears (1-1) rebounded of a 2-1 loss in overtime against Westmont. They will next play against Briar Cliff on September 1 at 7 p.m in Billings.
