Two late goals doom Rocky Mountain College men in season opener

SANTA BARBARA, Cal. – The Rocky Mountain College men’s soccer team opened their season with a 2-1 loss against Westmont in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Rocky’s Sky Swenson scored the first goal of the match on the 20th minute off an assist from Nolan Sherwood.

Westmont would go on to score twice and win the game. On the 79th minute, Westmont’s Christian Webb scored on a penalty kick. 11 minutes later, Francisco Castro would score with an assist from Webb.

The Battlin’ Bears will next play against Marymount on August 27 at 8 p.m in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
