BILLINGS  – Two Rocky Mountain College volleyball players received Frontier Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors after a strong performance at the Hope International University (Calif.) Summer Slam.

Senior Hailey Copinga earned the Frontier Conference’s Defender of the Week award. Copinga averaged 2.81 digs and 1.06 assisted blocks during the Summer Slam. She is currently ranked No. 2 in total blocks and blocks per game.

Natalie Hilderman, a sophomore from Red Lodge, earned the Frontier Conference Setter of the Week award after averaging 9.13 assists and 3.31 digs.

“Hilderman showed that she is a veteran player this year. Both players are well-deserving of the awards,” said RMC Head Volleyball Coach Laurie Kelly.

Rocky returns to the court in Butte on Friday 10 a.m., as they take on region-rival Dickinson State in the Big Sky Classic, hosted by Montana Tech. The Battlin’ Bears round out Friday’s action against Cascade Conference foe Multnomah University. The round robin affair will continue on Saturday as the Battlin’ Bears take on Eastern Oregon University at 11 a.m. and finish with Northwest University at 3 p.m.
