Montana Tech happy to be home for weekend games

BUTTE — After a three-game road trip, Montana Tech’s basketball teams get to come back to Butte for a pair of games this weekend.

Being back on their home court is a huge relief for both squads, but on the women’s side it couldn’t have came at a better time. With a rigorous class schedule, the time back home will allow the Orediggers to catch up in the classroom and spend more time on the court in practice.

“It’s just really nice with how hard academics are here at Tech, traveling, missing classes, doing that is really tough, so to be home where they don’t have to miss anything, I think, is a relief for them,” head coach Carly Sanon said. “It gives us more time where we can get shots up, we can practice different things. We’re really looking forward to these weekend’s games.”
