BUTTE — On Oct. 20, the Montana Tech men’s basketball team routed Yellowstone Christian College 96-31. On Thursday, the Montana Tech women got their chance to replicate a similar outcome against the Centurions.

The Diggers held a 46-27 halftime lead and came out hot in the third quarter. Mesa Williams drained a 3-pointer in the opening minutes of the quarter, and all-conference preseason selection Shay Potter added huge points to help Tech build a sizable lead. YCC struggled to find any source of offense and struggled just as much to stop the Diggers’ offense in transition.

Montana Tech sealed the deal in the second half and rolled on to win 85-55 over the Centurions.
