BUTTE — Montana Tech head men’s basketball coach Adam Hiatt has a lot of high expectations for his Orediggers as they come into the 2018-19 season. The Diggers return 10 guys from a squad that went 13-17 overall last year.

In their season opener against Yellowstone Christian on Saturday, the Diggers seemed to have put that behind them and gear up for a new season. Drew Huse, Nate Ward, Troy Owens, and William Mytty all light up the scoreboard to put Montana Tech up 45-16 at halftime. Tech would continue to dominate Yellowstone in every category on the floor and grab a lopsided 96-31 win.

Tech’s next game is Oct. 26 at Willamette University.
