WHITEFISH — Garrett Kocab and Noah Majerus helped the Carroll College Fighting Saints men sweep the Frontier Conference men’s outdoor track and field athletes of the week awards, while Brooke Endy won the women’s track athlete of the week award.

Kocab, a sophomore from Phelan, California, became the field athlete of the week after his performance at the Montana Open in Missoula on Saturday. In a field competing against NCAA D-I talent, Kocab placed second in the discus with a heave of 49.15 meters, qualifying him for nationals with the NAIA A-Standard.

Majerus, a freshman from Lewistown, earned the track athlete of the week award for his performance in the 800. Majerus placed first in the 800 in a time of 1:52.39 to win the event. The time gave him the NAIA A-Standard to qualify him for nationals. Majerus previously held the NAIA B-Standard in the race.

Endy, a junior from Billings, took first in three events on Saturday. Endy won the 100 and 200, and ran a leg on the Saints 4×100 team. Endy won the 100 in a time of 12.85, the 200 in a time of 26.39 and helped the 4×100 relay team record a time of 49.16.

The Saints are back on the track this weekend at Montana State in Bozeman.
