HELENA — Carroll College athletics suspended junior running back Major Ali one game for a violation of athletic department policy.

“I’m disappointed we will not have Major this weekend,” Van Diest said. “When a person makes a choice that he did there are consequences. Unfortunately the consequences are a one-game suspension.”

Ali’s suspension begins immediately. He will not play this weekend against Montana State-Northern.

Ali has started every game for the Saints this season. As the Saints’ leading rusher he’s run 150 times for 612 yards and five touchdowns. He was an All-Conference running back a season ago.
