KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Carroll College has lost three of its last four games after climbing to the No. 2 ranking, causing the Fighting Saints men to slide to No. 7 in the latest NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, which was released Tuesday.

Carroll matched its best ranking in program history with the No. 2 ranking, but the Saints struggled on a four-game road trip, losing to the University of Providence, MSU-Northern and Lewis-Clark State.

The Saints (21-5, 10-4 Frontier Conference) are one of three Frontier Conference teams ranked, as Lewis-Clark State and Providence also cracked the top 25. The Warriors moved up five spots in the rankings to No. 13, punctuating their four-game home stand with a win over Carroll.

Although Providence (17-8, 8-6) lost at MSU-Northern, the Argos moved up three spots to No. 22. Rocky Mountain College (16-10, 7-7) fell from the top 25, as the Battlin’ Bears have lost their last three games.

LSU Alexandria (La.) kept its No. 1 ranking, receiving eight first-place votes. Benedictine (Kan.), Missouri Baptist, Georgetown (Ky.) and Stillman (Ala.) round out the top five. For the complete NAIA men’s basketball top 25, please click here.
