Carroll College’s Jaylin Kenney named to Academic All-District team

HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College senior outfielder Jaylin Kenney has been selected to the 2018 CoSIDA Google Cloud College Division 4 Softball Academic All-District team.

The award is nominated and voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in June.

Kenney carries a 4.0 GPA, is a double major and played both golf and softball in the spring.

She played in 49 of 50 games this season for the Saints and had a team-high 179 at-bats, with a .302 batting average and a .458 slugging percentage.

She also had a .974 fielding percentage with just one error on the entire season.

Kenney is also nominated for the CoSIDA At-Large District Team as a member of Carroll golf.
