BILLINGS – The Rocky Mountain College men’s basketball team has signed Ragen Shein to a letter of intent to join the Battlin’ Bears in the fall this, head coach Bill Dreikosen announced on Thursday.

Shein is a 6-foot-7 forward from Helena, Montana and Helena High School. A First Team All-State selection in 2015 and 2016, Shein averaged 14.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He shot 42 percent from the field while also being named Academic All-State as a senior. Shein spent last season at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

“Ragen will bring size and physicality to our team,” Dreikosen commented about Shein. “We like his ability to rebound and defend. These qualities, along with his knack for scoring and getting to the foul line are important assets to be successful in the Frontier Conference. We look forward to having Ragen in the Battlin’ Bears program.”

Shein intends to major in accounting at Rocky. He is the son of Rhett (father) and Aimee (mother).
