Carroll College softball drops pair of games to Corban University

HELENA – The Carroll softball team may have locked up their spot in the Cascade Conference Tournament, but they had their hands full Friday in two losses to Corban University.

The first game went 10 innings before Corban pulled ahead to a 7-5 victory. Kendal Mooney lead the Saints at the plate in three RBI’s on five plate appearances. Allison Williams was the losing pitcher. Going nine innings and giving up all seven runs.

Game two, didn’t take 10 innings, but had the exact same result as Corban won 7-5 once again. Britany Smith lead the way on offense with three RBI’s on three at bats. Tess Eaton got the loss on the mound. Throwing seven innings.

Carroll and Corban University will go at it again in another doubleheader Saturday afternoon at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
