BILLINGS – The Rocky Mountain College men’s basketball team has signed Josh Eckmann, head coach Bill Dreikosen announced today. Eckmann will join the program this fall.

Eckmann is a 6-foot-3 guard from Clancy, Montana, that attends Jefferson High School. He averaged 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 38 percent from the field and 35 percent from three. Eckmann was a two-time all-conference selection and an all-state choice as a senior.

“Josh is a great sign for the Bears,” Dreikosen said of Eckmann. “He is an excellent player while being the Valedictorian of his high school. We like his versatility along with his ability to shoot the ball with range. He has excellent leadership qualities and we believe Josh will be a great fit in our program.”

Along with being the Valedictorian at Jefferson, Eckmann is the Student Body President and a member of the National Honor Society.

Eckmann is the son of Mary (mother) and Kyle Eckmann (father). He has two brothers, (AJ and Luke).

Rocky finished the 2017-18 season with an 18-14 overall record and they reached the semifinals of the Frontier Conference Tournament.
