Rocky Mountain College sweeps Frontier’s weekly track awards

WHITEFISH – Corinne Hamilton and Brenden Leaming of the Rocky Mountain College track & field team have been named this week’s Frontier Conference Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week.

Hamilton, a sophomore from Kalispell, Mont., is the women’s winner after finishing third in the 1,500-meter (5:06.07) and fourth in the 5,000-meter (19:53.53) at the Yellow Jacket Spring Open over the weekend in Spearfish, S.D. She also ran a leg on the 4×400 relay. This is her first weekly award from the conference.

Leaming, a junior from Watford City, N.D., is the men’s outdoor track athlete of the week. He finished fourth in the 200 meter (23.57) and fourth in the 400 meter (44.47) in Spearfish. Leaming also ran a leg on the 4×100 relay team that finished third. This is his first weekly award from the Frontier.

The Rocky track & field team will host the Rocky/MSUB Invitational on Friday in Laurel.
