MESA, AZ – The Carroll College softball team shut out Benedictine University Wednesday afternoon 9-0 to go 10-4 on the season.
In the top of the 2nd Carroll was leading 4-0 until Allison Bayer hit a 2-run home run to center field to make it 6-0.
The story of the game though was pitcher Tess Easton who threw a no-hitter and was one walk away from a perfect game.
Today was only the second no-hitter in school history, with the first one also being thrown by Easton in 2016.
If the weather corporates the Saints next home game should be March 16th against the College of Idaho.
