BUTTE — The top two teams in the Frontier Conference all season, Carroll College and Montana Western, received bids to the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament in Kansas City. The tournament runs from March 14-20.
The conference champion Saints enter the tournament as a two seed. Carroll lost by two points in the Elite Eight in 2017’s tournament. Montana Western, the regular season and the postseason runner-up, was given a three seed. The Bulldogs lost in last year’s Sweet 16.
Lewis and Clark State is the other Frontier Conference team to receive a tournament bid. The Warriors made the tournament as a five seed.
