BUTTE — Montana Tech released the 2018 football schedule today. The Orediggers open the 10-game slate in Caldwell at the College of Idaho on September 1st.
The Copper Game, presented by Rocky Mountain Credit Union, opens the home schedule on September 8th again Eastern Oregon. The Mountaineers are one of the three teams the Orediggers face twice next fall. Montana Tech travels to La Grande, Ore. on October 20th for the second matchup.
The second home game of the season on September 22nd is the Hall of Fame Game part of the annual Awards and Hall of Fame Weekend. Montana State Northern is in the Mining City that weekend.
College of Idaho returns to Butte for their second meeting of the season on October 13th. The weekend is also Homecoming for Montana Tech.
Southern Oregon is the third team with two dates on the schedule. Montana Tech travel to Ashland on September 15th and hosts the Raiders on October 27th.
The Orediggers finish the home schedule against Carroll College on November 3rd for Senior Day.
The other road games on the season are October 6th at Montana Western and the season finale on November 10th at Rocky Mountain College.
Spring football is just around the corner starting the week of March 19th. Montana Tech is holding a scrimmage open to the public on Saturday April 14th. The annual Digger Athletic Auction is set for the same day.
