DILLON — For the second time in as many games, a battle between the Montana Tech and Montana Western men’s basketball teams was decided by a four-point margin and, for the second time, the Bulldogs edged out their Frontier Conference rival.

Western won 71-67, completing a three-game regular-season sweep over the Orediggers.

Zaccheus Darko-Kelly was the difference-maker on Wednesday night, leading all players in points scored (23), rebounds (13), and steals (3). Kooper Kidgell added 14 points for Western, and Dom Robinson and Brandon Jones added 10 apiece.

Tech freshman Nick Fitts was hot from the field, shooting 7-of-9 overall and 5-of-7 from 3-point range for a total of 21 points. Chris O’Neill was the only other Oredigger in double digits with 16 points.

The win moves Western to 21-5 overall and 11-4 in Frontier Conference play, while Tech falls to 3-12 and 11-15 overall.
