Montana State-Northern’s Chris Nile was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference’s Red Lion wrestler of the week on Monday.
Nile, a sophomore from Forsyth, upset Providence’s Adrian Lyons-Lopez in the Lights’ final dual of the season. Lyons-Lopez is ranked fourth in the country. Nile entered the dual unranked but helped Northern upset the Argos 27-15.
Nile was a two-time placer at the Montana high school state wrestling meet while at Forsyth. He then signed to wrestle at Boise State, but saw just limited action while battling injuries before transferring to Northern.
