BILLINGS — The Rocky Mountain College football program added 43 new recruits today on National Signing Day. The 2018 signing class features 36 incoming freshmen and seven mid-year transfers. The defensive line made the biggest impact with eight incoming players. The offensive line and wide receivers brought in seven each.
Rocky signed recruits from eight states, led by Idaho (14) and Montana (12). The Battlin’ Bears also signed players from Arizona (9), Washington (3) and California (2) while Alabama, Georgia and Nevada had one each.
The seven mid-year transfers are currently enrolled at Rocky and will participate in spring. That group includes JoJo Bones, Casey Cole, Nathan Dick, Ryan Gillespy, Jimmy Henderson Jr., Chaz Maddock and Lane Severson.
A Signing Day Fan Party will take place on Thursday at the Buffalo Wild Wings location in Billings. Fans are encouraged to come to the social gathering at 6 p.m. where they can meet the football coaching staff and learn more about the incoming class. A video presentation will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Food & drink expenses are not provided.
2018 INCOMING CLASS
Domonick Amendolara is a 5-foot-8 defensive back from Gilbert, Arizona. He attended Gilbert High School where he was named honorable mention all-region at defensive back. Amendolara also played wide receiver and was tabbed 2nd team all-region. Off the football field, he received the Citizenship Award from the Mayor of Gilbert. Amendolara is the son of Adrianne (mother) and he has one sister (Ash’Lynn) and one brother (Jordan).
Caden Bethel is from Gilbert, Arizona where the 6-foot wide receiver attended Desert Ridge High School. He was named Arizona 6A 2nd Team All-State as a senior after being the Desert Ridge Junior Varsity MVP in 2016. Bethel was selected as a Golden Scholar and earned an Athletic Scholar award every semester. He is the son of David (father) and Sedina (mother) and has one brother (Brenner).
Drew Bonds is a 6-2 wide receiver from Tacoma, Washington. He played for Woodrow Wilson High School where he was named All-League at receiver and defensive back in 2016 and 2017. Bonds has been named to the Honor Roll all four years of high school. He is the son of David (father) and Michelle (mother) and has one brother (Kyrell) and one sister (Miranda).
JoJo Bones has transferred to Rocky from MidAmerica Nazarene University as a senior. He is from Stockton, California where the 6-foot-2 defensive lineman attended Lincoln High School. During the 2016 season at MNU, Bones recorded 17 tackles (13 solo) and had two sacks and three tackles-for-loss. He is the son of Joseph (father) and Lorraine (mother) and is married to Salina.
Casey Cole is a 6-foot athlete from Laurel, Montana and Laurel High School. He was an all-conference selection as a freshman and then earned all-state honors as a sophomore and junior. Cole has been named to the Honor Roll the past two years. He is the son of Cass (father) and Deb (mother) and has two sisters (Rachel, Ally) and one brother (Shane).
Gatlin Condie is from Boise, Idaho where the 6-foot-1 offensive lineman played at Mountain View High School. He was named 1st Team All-State and was twice named All-SIC Offensive Lineman. Condie won a state championship in 2016 and was an Idaho East/West All-Star as a senior. He is also a three-time All-SIC Academic selection. Condie is the son of Brock (father) and Connie (mother) and he has one brother (Gunnar) and one sister (Makenna).
Tommy Corcoran is from Reno, Nevada where the 6-foot running back played at Galena High School. He was named all-league and all-region at running back in high school. Corcoran is the son of Jeff (father) and Mary (mother) and he has one sister (Kate).
Austin DeMars is a 6-foot-3 tight end from Kalispell, Montana where he played at Flathead High School. He was a 2nd Team All-Conference selection and honorable mention All-State at tight end as a senior. DeMars was twice named Academic All-State for football. He is the son of Carroll (father) and Kara Warrick (mother) and he has two brothers (Chauncey, Jackson) and one sister (Rebekah).
Nathan Dick is from Billings, Montana where the 5-foot-10 quarterback attended Billings Senior High School. He transferred to Rocky after a redshirt season at the University of Montana. Dick was the 2016 Montana Football Gatorade Player of the Year. He was twice named the Offensive MVP of Montana and is the state’s all-time touchdown leader with 120. Dick is the son of Bruce (father) and Lori (mother) and he has two brothers (Michael, Ryan) and one sister (Brittney).
Dylan Fisher is from Boise, Idaho where the 6-foot linebacker played at Mountain View High School. He was a 1st Team All-State selection and named to the USA Today All-Idaho team as a senior after leading the state with 123 tackles. Fisher was a Shriners All-Star Game participant and his team won the state championship during his junior year. He is the son of Casey (father) and Mary (mother) and he has two sisters (Kirsten, Karly).
Ryan Gillespy is a mid-year transfer from Meridian, Idaho where the 5-foot-7 wide receiver played at Rocky Mountain High School. He was a two-year starter in high school and helped his team win the 2015 state championship. He also was part of three state championships with the track team. Gillespy is the son of Richard (father) and Gerilyn (mother) and he has one brother (Ricky) and one sister (Mikayla).
Jimmy Henderson Jr. transferred to Rocky from Mendocino Junior College. He is from Riverdale, Georgia where he attended Riverdale High School and earned two varsity letters in football. Henderson is the son of Jimmy (father) and Valerie (mother) and he has one sister (Jennifer) and one brother (Marshae).
Cameron Henesh is from American Falls, Idaho where the 6-foot-2 tight end played at American Falls High School. He was twice named Idaho 3A All-Area and was chosen as 1st Team All-Conference at tight end in 2016. Henesh earned an Academic Letter four time and was the Salutatorian. He is the son of Mike (father) and Melissa (mother) and he has one brother (Jeremy) and one sister (Emily).
Troy Hennes is from Belt, Montana where the 6-foot-2 tight end played at Belt High School. He was named All-State at four different positions (TE, DE, FB, DT) in high school and played in the Senior All-State Game. Hennes participated in the Principals Cup and in on the Honor Roll. He is the son of Josh (father) and Jenny (mother) and he has one brother (Treyton).
Ben Hoffman is from Dalton Gardens, Idaho where the 6-foot linebacker played at Coeur d’Alene High School. He was an All-League selection as a senior. Hoffman is the son of Jon (father) and Peggy (mother) and he has two sisters (Hailey, Macie) and one brother (Greyson).
Carter Johnson is from Boise, Idaho where the 5-foot-9 running back played at Capital High School. He was named 1st Team All-SIC as a senior after being an honorable mention selection as a sophomore and junior. He received the DECA Emerging Leader Award and was a DECA State qualifier. Johnson is the son of Nikki Burroughs (mother) and Josh Burroughs (stepfather).
Kale Larson is from Conrad, Montana where the 5-foot-11 fullback played at Conrad High School. He was a three-year starter and chosen as team captain his senior year. Larson played in the Class B All-Star Game. He is an Academic All-State selection and on the Honor Roll. He is the son of Ken (father) and Sande (mother) and he has three brothers (Seaborn, Sam, Shane).
John Little is from Boise, Idaho where the 6-foot-1 offensive lineman played at Centennial High School. He was a participant in the Shriners All-Star Game as a senior. Little is the son of Tony (father) and Katie (mother) and he has one brother (Lucas) and one sister (Heather).
Chaz Maddock is a mid-year transfer that is from Billings, Montana where the 6-foot wide receiver played at Billings West High School. He was named All-State at receiver and defensive back in high school. Maddock was an Academic All-State recipient and was on the Honor Roll and he received the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. He is the son of Lane (father) and Nikki Nakayama (mother) and he has one brother (Brock).
Stason Makaila is from Chandler, Arizona where the 6-foot-4 offensive lineman played at Hamilton High School. He was a 2nd Team All-Region and Honorable Mention All-District selection as a senior. Makaila is the son of Tad (father) and Dee (mother) and he has two brothers (Shylo, Slayde).
Colin Maslin is from Chandler, Arizona where the 6-foot-1 defensive lineman played at Hamilton High School. He was selected 1st Team All-Region and 1st Team All-CUSD as a senior. Maslin is the son of Chuck (father) and Kristin (mother) and he has one sister (Allie) and one brother (Brendan).
Drew McGuinn is from Boise, Idaho where the 6-foot-8 offensive lineman played at Capital High School. He was named 1st Team All-State and All-Conference last season while being named to the USA Today All-High School Team. McGuinn received the Scholastic Team award. He is the son of Ryan (father) and Laura (mother) and he has one brother (James).
Cade McInerney is from Meridian, Idaho where the 5-foot-9 defensive back played at Mountain View High School. A 2016 state champion, McInerney lost just six games in his high school career. He was chosen to the all-conference team at defensive back his senior season. McInerney is the son of Heath (father) and Susan (mother) and he has one sister (Mady).
Joel McRae is from Colstrip, Montana where the 6-foot-5 athlete played at Colstrip High School. He was a four-year letterwinner and two-year captain at Colstrip where he helped the team to a conference championship in 2017 and a runner-up finish in 2016. McRae was named Academic All-State three times. He is the son of Scott (father) and Audrey (mother) and he has one brother (Brett).
Jerome Miller is from Kuna, Idaho where the 6-foot-2 wide receiver played at Kuna High School. As a senior, Miller was named to the USA Today All-Idaho Team and 1st Team All-State and All-SIC. He played in the Shrine All-Star Game after earning three varsity letters. He was also named 2nd Team All-SIC as a junior. Miller earned the SIC Academic Award and is a member of the National Honor Society. Miller is the son of David (father), Cally (mother) and Melody (stepmother) and he has one brother (Cedar).
Joseph Miller is from San Luis Obispo, California where the 6-foot wide receiver played at St. Joseph High School. He was twice named 1st Team All-League and 2nd Team All-Area at receiver. Miller received the Scholar Athlete Award and was named to the Honor Roll. He is the son of Jim (father) and Patty (mother) and has a twin brother (Timothy) and an older brother (Patrick).
Aaron Morast is from Fallon, Montana where the 6-foot-6 defensive end played at Terry High School. He was an all-conference selection as both a junior and senior. Morst is a member of the National Honor Society and has been named to the Honor Roll all four years. Morast is the son of Brian (father) and Sheryl (mother).
Jordin Myers is from Jerome, Idaho where the 6-foot-3 quarterback played at Jerome High School. He was a 1st Team All-Conference selection and won the Sportsman Award. Myers has also been named to the Honor Roll. He is the son of Brad (father) and Casabdra (mother) and he has one sister (Chyanna).
Jawuan Nave Jr. is from Spokane, Washington where the 5-foot-10 wide receiver played at Liberty High School. He was named 2nd Team All-League at running back and a 1st Team All-League and All-State selection at defensive back. Nave is on the Honor Roll. He is raised by Jerry Splichal (grandfather) and Kari Splichal (grandmother).
Victor Ngalamulume is from Boise, Idaho where the 5-foot-11 running back played at Centennial High School. He was a 2nd Team All-Conference selection at both running back and linebacker as a senior. He was given the team MVP award and Captain’s Award. Ngalamulume is the son of Francois Muteba (father) and Aimerance Kanku (mother) and he has five siblings (Martin Ndambi, Idrice Ndambi, Patrick Muteba, George Kanku, Rose Ngalamulume, Ruth Ngalamulume).
Mason Price is from Idaho Falls, Idaho where the 6-foot-3 defensive lineman played at Shelley Senior High School. He was named 2nd Team USA Today All-Idaho Team and the Mountain Rivers Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Price was also picked as 1st Team All-Area and linebacker and 1st Team All-Conference at wide receiver. He is the son of Byron (father) and Merilee (mother).
Bronson Ray is from Boise, Idaho where the 6-foot-2 defensive lineman played at Mountain View High School. He was named 1st Team All-State and All-SIC at offensive line as a senior. Ray is the son of Greg (father) and Cherie (mother) and he has one brother (Colton).
Ty Reynolds is from Daphne, Alabama where the 5-foot-9 linebacker played at Daphne High School. He is a two-time All-Coastal linebacker and 1st Team All-County selection. Reynolds played in the Alabama North vs. South All-Star Game and received the Alabama High School Player of the Week award. He was named to the “A” Honor Roll four times and received the Student of the Month award. Reynolds in the son of Lane (father) and Nicole (mother) and he has one brother (Cade).
Joey Roberts is from Vancouver, Washington where the 6-foot offensive lineman played at Mountain View High School. He was a three-time all-conference selection and was named 1st Team All-Region and honorable mention All-State as a senior. Roberts received the Quin Driscoll Citizenship Award and is a member of the Senior Class Council. He is the son of Jim (father) and Keri Wosepka (mother).
Kayden Scatena is from Chandler, Arizona where the 6-foot-4 offensive lineman played at Hamilton, High School. He was named 2nd Team All-Region as a senior. Scatena is the son of Bryant (father) and Tina (mother) and he has three brothers (Chandler, Hunter, Teagan).
Lane Severson is a mid-year transfer from Billings, Montana where the 5-foot-11 defensive lineman played at Skyview High School. A three-year letter winner, Severson was a MCA All-State and All-Conference selection as a senior. He was a member of the National Honor Society and was a Wendy’s High School Heisman winner. Severson is the son of Daren (father) and Amy (mother) and he has one brother (Shaun) and one sister (Erika).
Liam Sexton is from Great Falls, Montana where the 6-foot-2 linebacker played at Charles M. Russell High School. He was named 1st Team All-Conference and honorable mention All-State at linebacker as a senior. Sexton has been named to the Honor Roll all four years of high school. He is the son of Richard (father), Toni Wiser (mother) and Shawn Wiser (stepfather) and he has one sister (Caitlin) and one brother (Shawn).
Trace Simonson is from Loring, Montana where the 6-foot-1 athlete played at Whitewater High School. He was a three-time all-conference selection and was named 1st Team All-State as a senior. Simonson is on the Honor Roll and has been named Academic All-State in three sports while being the Valedictorian. He is the son of Matt (father) and Heather (mother) and he has one sister (Kourtney) and one brother (Beau).
Bruce Spang is from Billings, Montana where the 6-foot-3 defensive lineman played at Skyview High School. He was named All-State at defensive line and honorable mention All-State at right tackle as a senior. He is the son of Bruce (father) and Linda (mother) and he has one sister (Jessica).
Cooper Stauss is from Phoenix, Arizona where they 6-foot offensive lineman played at Desert Ridge High School. He was twice named 1st Team All-Region at offensive line. Stauss is the son of Aaron (father) and Terra (mother) and he has one brother (Bennett).
Ian Torrez is from Chandler, Arizona where the 6-foot-3 defensive lineman played at Hamilton High School. As a senior, Torrez was named honorable mention all-region. He is the son of Shaun (father) and Nicole (mother) and he has two sisters (Mya, Kaylie).
Austin Werbelow is from Phoenix, Arizona where the 5-foot-9 defensive back played at Desert Vista High School. A two-year varsity starter, Werbelow received the Outstanding Defensive Back award and the Most Improved Varsity award. He is the son of Jeffery (father) and Connie (mother) and he has one brother (Noah) and one sister (Jenna).
Jacori Wooten is from Queen Cree, Arizona where the 6-foot kicker played at Queen Creek High School. He was named Arizona 5A 1st Team All-State and 1st Team All-Region as a senior. Wooten was also named 2nd Team All-Region as a junior. He is the son of Brandon (father), Tiffany Wooten (stepmother), Teri Quandelacy (mother) and Adrian Quandelacy (stepfather), and he has four sisters (Skylar, Mckinzie, Sophia, Presleigh).
