Carroll College’s Bethany LaCock earns Frontier Conference honor

WHITEFISH — Bethany LaCock of Carroll College and Ariel Jensen of Lewis-Clark State were named the Frontier Conference women’s indoor track and field athletes of the week on Monday.

LaCock, a senior from Hinsdale, was honored as the field athlete of the week. At the Mountain State Games in Pocatello, Idaho, she scored 3.339 points and placed fourth out of 13 entrants in the pentathlon. LaCock is now fifth in the NCAA this season.

Jensen, a senior from Arlington, Wash., was named the track athlete of the week after winning the 600-meter run at the WSU Open hosted by Washington State. Jensen’s time of 1 minutes, 36.89 seconds paced the field of 15 runners. Jensen’s time hit the NAIA standard qualifying mark and broke her own school record.
