Monica Landdeck’s 31 not enough to lead Montana Tech past L-C State

BUTTE — The Montana Tech and Lewis and Clark State women’s basketball teams met in Butte on Dec. 2, a game that resulted in a thrilling game-winning shot that put the Warriors on the positive side of a 78-75 decision. The two traded blows again in the Mining City on Friday night, and L-C State again was able to come away with an 83-76 win.

Monica Landdeck led all scorers with 31 points on 12-of-22 shooting. Hailey Crawford was the only other Oredigger to score in double digits with 10 points.

The Warriors got a balanced scoring effort, with four players scoring at least 10 points. Hailey Turner led L-C State with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Montana Tech falls to 3-9 in Frontier Conference play and 13-11 overall. The Diggers will face Carrroll College on Feb. 7.
