KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Rocky Mountain College women’s basketball team continued its climb up the rankings to No. 15 in the 2017-18 NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll that was released on Tuesday.

After reaching No. 18 in the previous poll, Rocky moved up another three positions in this week’s poll to improve on the school record set in the previous rankings. The Battlin’ Bears received 120 points in the poll released on Tuesday.

Rocky is now 17-3 overall this season after winning four of their past five games played. They are currently in a three-way tie for first-place in the Frontier Conference with a 7-3 record in conference play. The team has already guaranteed its first winning season since the 2011-12 campaign and just the third in the past 14 years of available records.

Four Frontier Conference teams are ranked in this week’s poll. Carroll received 132 points to sit at No. 13. Providence is at No. 19 and Montana Western returned to the poll at No. 24.

The Battlin’ Bears will close the regular season with six of their final eight games at home. That stretch begins on Thursday when MSU-Northern comes to the Fortin Education Center at 5:30 p.m.
