BILLINGS, Mont. – Rocky Mountain College and Dickinson State University are pleased to announce they have agreed to play each other in a non-conference football game in each of the next three seasons.

Rocky will host the 2018 game at Herb Klindt Field on September 8. That game will take place during Hall of Fame Weekend. The Battlin’ Bears will also host a home game in 2020 while the Blue Hawks will be the home team in 2019.

“We are excited to continue our great rivalry with our friends at Dickinson State,” said Rocky’s Director of Athletics Bruce Parker. “Rocky has a long history of competing against Dickinson and we look forward to seeing that continue. Coach Stanton has built on the legacy created by Hank Biesiot with a program that is a perennial threat to make the NAIA Football Championship Series.”

The series between the Battlin’ Bears and Blue Hawks dates back to the 1959 season with DSU leading the series, 22-13. Rocky’s 13 wins in the series have come in the past 16 meetings. The Blue Hawks won last season, 43-28, in Dickinson.
