Rocky Mountain College seeks Hall of Fame nominations

BILLINGS – Rocky Mountain College is accepting nominations for the 2018 RMC Clara Klindt Athletic Hall of Fame. The deadline for nominations is April 2. The Hall of Fame committee will begin reviewing nominations immediately following.

The categories for consideration include RMC student athletes, teams, coaches and athletic directors as well as graduates, who have made major contributions in the field of athletics at the high school, college or professional levels.

Former student athletes and Battlin’ Bears teams must wait 10 years after their final season to be eligible, while coaches and athletic directors have a five-year waiting period.

Nominations for the William “Bill” Woolston Distinguished Service Award are also being accepted. This award is given to a person who has significantly contributed to RMC through service to the College’s athletics program.

The 2018 class will be honored during the annual “Hall of Fame Weekend,” which is planned for September 7 and 8. The formal Hall of Fame induction banquet and ceremony is scheduled for the evening of Friday, September 7. The inductees, along with current members of the Hall of Fame, will also be recognized at halftime of the Rocky Mountain College – Dickinson State University football game, Saturday, September 8.
