Providence Argos Zebadiah Boos, Daphne Pucket take weekly track and field honors

WHITEFISH — University of Providence athletes Zebadiah Boos and Daphne Puckett were named Frontier Conference indoor track and field athletes of the week on Monday.

Boos, a junior from Calvary, Wisc., earned the men’s field athlete of the week honor. At the WSU Invitational in Pullman, Wash., Boos recorded a personal-best toss of 13.60 meters in the weight throw. It’s the second-best weight throw in school history.

Puckett was the women’s field athlete of the week. The senior from Twin Bridges placed fourth out of 140 entrants in the shot put with a mark of 12.24 meters at the WSU Open in Pullman. She also placed sixth out of 24 entrants in the weight throw, marking 14.46 meters.

Ariel Jensen of Lewis-Clark State was named the women’s track athlete of the week. No men’s track athlete of the week was announced.
