Montana State-Northern’s Isaac Bartel has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference’s Red Lion wrestler of the week, the conference announced Monday.
Bartel, a freshman from Mason City, Iowa, defeated two top-20 opponents at the Missouri Valley Invite, going 5-0 on his way to a first-place finish at 197 pounds. The Lights finished in sixth place out of 30 teams.
Bartel is currently ranked as the No. 6 wrestler at 197 pounds, boasting a 31-7 record on the season.
