Montana Western’s Brianna King wins third Frontier Player of the Week honor

WHITEFISH — Brianna King of Montana Western was named the Frontier Conference’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

King, a 5-foot-5 junior guard from Spokane, Wash., helped the Bulldogs climb back to .500 in the conference with wins over two nationally ranked teams. Montana Western beat No. 10 Carroll College 59-43 and No. 18 Rocky Mountain College 64-57. For the weekend, King averaged 22.5 points, five rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals. She was 10 of 30 from the field and 24 of 29 (83 percent) from the free throw line.

This is the third time this season that King has won the weekly award.
