Carroll’s Ryan Imhoff named to Bevo Francis Award Watch List

HELENA — The Carroll College Saints men’s basketball team is having a season to remember in the Frontier Conference, and the team’s top talent is garnering national recognition.

Senior forward Ryan Imhoff has been named as one of 100 finalists on the Bevo Francis Award Watch List, a distinction given to the nation’s most outstanding small college basketball player. The voting committee makes the selections based on stats, both team and individual achievements, as well as character, according to the award’s website.

Through the Saints’ first 18 games, Imhoff is averaging 20.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.9 steals, and 1.2 blocks. The Napa, Calif. native is also shooting 53.8 percent from the field.

The list will be narrowed down to groups of 50 and 25 before the finalists are named on March 31. The winner of the award will be announced on April 2.

Imhoff and the Saints continue their season on Jan. 18 at Montana Western.
