Montana Tech splits doubleheader with MSU-Northern

BUTTE — Shay Potter turned in the best performance of her career as Montana Tech defeated No. 21 MSU-Northern 71-55 on Thursday.

Potter poured in 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to give the Orediggers their first conference win of the season. Brandy Lambourne led the Skylights with 15 points.

On the men’s side, Northern battled back from a halftime hole to defeat Montana Tech 71-63.

Caulin Bakalarski had a game-high 19 points off the bench for the Lights. Trent Molesworth had 17 points for the Orediggers.
