BILLINGS – Rocky Mountain College volleyball head coach Laurie Kelly has announced the signing of three student-athletes to a National Letter of Intent to become part of the Battlin’ Bears volleyball program in 2018. The trio includes Tori Cybulski, Cassandra Greene and Emily Prokop.
Cybulski is a 5-foot-7 outside hitter/defensive specialist from Custer, Mont. She had a stellar career at Custer High School where she competed in three sports throughout her high school career. Cybulski garnished in the past three years all-conference honors in volleyball and all-state recognition last season. She received academic all-state honors for her work in the classroom in all three sports for all three years.
“Tori is a great student-athlete with high goals. She comes from a small school where she competed in all three sports so it will be fun to see her concentrate on one. She is eager to take her game to the next level and will be a great fit at Rocky Mountain College,” stated Kelly.
Tori’s parents are Tim and Jill Cybulski from Custer, Mont.
Greene, a 5-foot-8 outside hitter from New Castle, Colo., was a three-year starter at Coal Ridge High School where she was a two-sport athlete in volleyball and track. Her team competed in two Colorado Volleyball State Championship tournaments. Greene was a first team academic all-state selection for three years.
“Cassandra is a gifted athlete and has managed her time participating in athletes, choir, band, and musicals. She comes from a competitive program and played for a very good club program at the Vail Volleyball Club. She will be studying aviation and playing volleyball for Rocky,” Kelly added of Greene.
Her parents are Denise and Thad Greene from New Castle, Colo.
Prokop, a 5-foot-7 setter from Custer, Mont., had a stellar career at Custer High School where she competed in three sports. She was selected all-state this past season and first team all-conference her last two seasons in volleyball. She received academic all-state honors for her work in the classroom in all three sports. Prokop holds the school record in assists for a match, season and career.
“Emily will be a great fit for Rocky as she competed in three sports her whole high school career coupled with being the school valedictorian. She has great setting hands and a hard work ethic, which is a perfect combination for our program at Rocky Mountain College,” Kelly said of Prokop.
Her parents are Charlene Heil and Robert Prokop from Custer, Mont.
These three will join a Rocky program that finished second in the Frontier Conference and went 23-11 overall. The Battlin’ Bears lose four seniors from the 2016 team.
